Replacing fuel filter (M47T2, M57T2, N47,
N47S)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove rear assembly underside protection
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
Release clamp (1).
Pull off hose.
Pull out retainer (2).
Detach fuel preheater (3) in direction of arrow.
Release screw and remove fuel filter (4).
Installation:
Modify retaining clamp.
Add final details to vehicle.
Installation:
Venting fuel system:
Turn on ignition and leave on for approx. 1 minute. In this
period of time, the fuel pre-supply pump is activated and the
fuel line to the H.P. pump vented.
N47, N47S only: Vent fuel system with BMW diagnosis tester.
