Replacing fuel filter (M62)
Caution!
The fuel in the fuel lines is under pressure (approx. 3 - 5
bar)! Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Switch off ignition.
Cars without integrated fuel pressure regulator in fuel filter only
Remove cover from floor plate at front left.
Disconnect fuel feed line before and after fuel filter with two
special tools 13 3 010.
Disconnect fuel feed line at points (1) and (2) with special tool
13 3 010.
Unfasten hose clips.
Detach fuel line from fuel filter.
Unscrew screw.
Remove fuel filter from retainer.
Installation:
Check direction of flow (arrow).
Arrow must point towards the injection valve strip.
