Removing and installing/replacing positioning
motor for eccentric shaft (N42/N46)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

•

Remove cylinder head.

Unscrew nuts.

Important!

Do not damage toothing of eccentric shaft and shaft on
positioning motor.

Rotate shaft (1) clockwise and simultaneously pull out positioning
motor towards rear.

Note:

If positioning motor is faulty and sluggish:

Carefully rotate shaft (1) of positioning motor with suitable pliers
without damaging eccentric shaft.

Installation:

Replace seal (1).

Install positioning motor so that connection (2) for plug
connection is located at top.
